Computing & Printing Services
The Graduate Student Center has public computers in our Common Room available for graduate and professional students. You must login with a valid PennKey to use these computers. There are four computers located in the rear alcove and two kiosk computers at the front of the room. The kiosk computer nearest the French doors can be adjusted for ease of use by students with disabilities. If you are using this kiosk, please allow students with accessibility needs to use it.
All computers in the Common Room can send documents to the printer in the Computer Lab. Printing costs 10 cents per sheet and requires a PennCash account debit from your PennCard. Please follow the instructions posted in the Computer Lab.
If you experience technical problems with the computing and printing services, please inform the Fellow at the Common Room Main Desk. We will try to help you, but unfortunately, our computing support staff is located in an off-site office and many issues require at least 24 hours to be resolved.
Wireless Internet
The Graduate Student Center offers wireless broadband Internet service available throughout the building.
On July 1, 2008, Penn retired web-authenticated wireless access to PennNet. To connect, you must install software, called SecureW32, on your computer.
You must have a valid Pennkey to download the software and configure your system
