Get AMP'ed About Advising and Mentoring PhD Students with our guide. These guidelines provide students with direction on choosing an advisor, establishing a dissertation committee, and maintaining productive working relationships. Students and faculty can find information about their respective roles and responsibilities in a mentoring relationship as well as advice on conflict resolution and links to important policies. Connect with Alumni through myPenn. MyPenn is a database of Penn graduates and is searchable by industry, employer name, major, degree, student clubs, and more. Current Penn students have access to this database! Update your profile and connect with Penn alumni in your field(s) of interest. Alumni can indicate their interest in connecting with current students in their profiles. Access at mypenn.upenn.edu.

Celebrate Your Mentor with the Provost's Award for Distinguished PhD Teaching and Mentoring. The Provost’s Award for Distinguished PhD Teaching & Mentoring is awarded to two members of the Standing or Associated Faculty for distinguished teaching and mentoring of PhD students each year. Members of the Standing and Associated Faculty in any school offering the PhD are eligible for the award. Learn more at provost.upenn.edu/teaching-awards.
