Be a Grant Advisor

Have you previously applied for and received a grant? We hope you will share your valuable experience and success by volunteering as a Grant Advisor! Grant recipients of all backgrounds and interests are encouraged to submit their contact details using the form below.

Grant Advisor Responsibilities & Rewards

Grant Advisors help an applicant by:

• reading a student's already completed proposal materials
• sitting down with the student for an hour to offer suggestions, answer questions, and provide support based on your own knowledge of the application process

Both steps typically require a total of two hours of your time.

Grant Advisors earn:

• $50 for each student advised
• the graduate community's lasting gratitude
• props for your CV
• warm fuzzy feelings for helping a fellow student

Because most grant application deadlines are clusted in the early Spring (especially March and April) and Fall (particularly October), you are more likely to be invited to advise during these periods.
