Resources on writing the dissertation and research proposals

Basics for Penn graduate & doctoral students Research resources for graduate students at Penn
  • The Research at Penn site is managed by the Vice Provost for Research.
  • The folks who ensure your grants comply with requirements are at the Office of Research Services. If your research deals with human subjects - whether it is a sociological study or medical research, you'll need to get aquainted with the IRB, otherwise known as the Office of Regulatory Affairs.
For funding dissertation research, post-docs, etc Teaching development resources at Penn Groups at Penn for graduate & doctoral students
  • GSAC, a.k.a. the Graduate Student Association Council, represents graduate students in SAS and all Penn doctoral students - ie YOU - via your student rep.
  • GAPSA, the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly, represents the whole range of grads at Penn.
  • We, the Graduate Student Center, offer resources and connect you to even  more.
