“One of the things I like best about being a mentor is interacting with an undergrad in a non-evaluative way. The primary way I interact with Penn undergrads is as their TA or teacher. As a mentor, I get to meet and interact with a student without either of us having to worry about an evaluation. I think it allows for very open conversations about school and work. Anyway, my mentee rocks. She’s brilliant and nice.
