About Tax Information

We understand that figuring your taxes as a student can be a daunting task. Here's some useful information to help you!

First, review the Guide to Graduate Student & Post-Doctoral Appointments on the University Finance website, which defines Graduate Student and Post-Doctoral Appointments at the University. Federal, state and city tax follows the proper determination of the appointment.

Also visit the Internal Revenue Service for definitive statements on federal taxes and the Pennslyvania Department of Revenue for state tax information.

If you still need assistance after reviewing this information, you should seek tax preparation advice. The IRS has VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) programs to help students prepare tax returns. This year, there is a VITA program located at Drexel University in the Pearlstein Business Learning Center at 3220 Market Street.
