Ask the Grad Center Gnome
Where do you go when you don't know where to go? Who do you ask when you don't know who to ask about stuff at Penn or in Philly? Your new advisor, the Grad Center Gnome! Short of stature, but big of mind.
About me: Normally, I'm too modest to talk about myself much, but many students have been asking who I am and how I got to the Graduate Student Center. So here goes....
My early years were spent in an idyllic garden in the French countryside, then I was stolen by the Garden Gnome Liberation Front in 1995. I traveled the world with my kidnappers, but became weary of globe-hopping by 1997. We happened to be passing through Philadelphia at the time, and it seemed like a nice city, so I made a break from my captors here. I lived on the street for a while, that's how I picked up my street smarts. It all turned out pretty well for me, however, because eventually I ended up studying at Penn, and I earned a bachelor's in chemical engineering, an MBA from Wharton, and a doctoral degree in Eastern European Folk Studies (that's how I got all my other smarts). But I hung out so much in the Graduate Student Center sipping free coffee and attending programs that they've let me stay on. So now I'm here to provide you with the answers to life's questions! I've continued to travel with my family at the Grad Center. Check out some of my travel destinations!
